The orthopaedist’s opinion
Sleep rejuvenates the body – it helps wounds heal, maintains the internal organs, and keeps the skin fresh. Sleep helps overcome all worries and stress the day has put upon you. It helps you to start the new day in top condition, physically and mentally.
How to achieve a good sleep?
The room itself is important. Factors such as age, physical activity, smoking, and many others also affect your sleep. The most important factor, however, is the mattress you sleep on. It could be a friend or an enemy to your body. The body itself knows whether you have a problem with your mattress, but you have to listen to it. Which type of mattress gives best orthopaedic support for the body and best prevents strain in the back and spine?
A recent study showed that 95% of US orthopaedists think that the mattress is vital for preventing back pain, and 92% are against using very hard mattresses. The inner and outer design of the body is not adopted for long periods of lying down, but we spend a third of our life that way. That is why we must choose our beds and mattresses very carefully.
The bed must adopt and support the natural curves of the spine and the whole body, and give most support where the pressure is the greatest.
Solution: multi-point individual support, divided in different resilience zones
It is important to avoid constant pressure, which disrupts the circulation in the skin and the tissue below it.
Solution: multi-point individual elastic support
The movements of your body must not be transmitted to the other parts of the mattress, because they can disturb the sleep of your partner.
Solution: multi-point individual elastic support
The sleeping position must be stable, and you must have stable support along the perimeter of the body, especially in zones with greater pressure. Solution: multi-point individual independent supports, divided in zones with different resilience, which increases in the zones where the pressure of the body is the greatest.
